Cookie Management

We believe in transparency. TRPTK uses only the minimum storage necessary to make the site work properly. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or social media integrations of any kind. We do not run Google Analytics or any comparable service that tracks individual visitors.

What we use and why

Everything listed below is strictly necessary or functional. None of it is used for tracking, profiling, or advertising.

Cookies

Authentication token

When you sign in to your account, a secure, HTTP-only cookie stores your authentication token. This keeps you logged in as you navigate the site. It expires after 7 days and is removed immediately when you log out.

Session indicator

A small companion cookie lets the site know you are signed in so it can show the right interface without making unnecessary requests. It contains no personal information and is cleared when you log out.

Local storage

Local storage works similarly to cookies but stays on your device and is never sent to our servers. We use it for three things:

Shopping cart

Your cart ID is stored locally so your cart persists if you close the browser and return later. It is cleared when you complete a purchase or manually empty your cart.

Format preference

When you select a format on a release page (for example CD, vinyl, or hi-res download), your choice is remembered so the next release you visit starts on the same format. This is purely a convenience — it contains no personal data.

Theme preference

Your choice of dark or light mode is saved so it carries over between visits. If you have never toggled it, the site follows your system setting.

Third-party cookies

Our payment provider (Mollie) may set its own cookies during the checkout process to facilitate secure payment. These cookies are governed by Mollie's own privacy policy and are not controlled by TRPTK.

What we don't use

  • No advertising or marketing cookies
  • No analytics cookies that track individual visitors
  • No social media plugins, pixels, or embeds
  • No fingerprinting or cross-site tracking

Managing your preferences

Because all storage on this site is strictly necessary or functional, there is no cookie consent banner. You can clear any of the items described above at any time through your browser's settings. Clearing cookies will sign you out; clearing local storage will reset your cart, format preference, and theme selection.
